ENFiD-Austria Recognized at WFWP Global Women’s Peace Network Event

Vienna, Austria—3 April 2025— The European Network of Filipino Diaspora-Austria (ENFiD-Austria), represented by its chairperson, Maria Zelda Rojas, and press relations officer and ENFiD board director, Sarah Jozelle Rojas, presented a compelling narrative report on their participation in the WFWPI Advocacy Training Workshop held in New York on 8-9 March 2025. Organized by the Women’s Federation for World Peace International (WFWPI), the workshop brought together 60 +/- global leaders and advocates from 17 countries to deepen their understanding of peacebuilding, policy influence, gender equity, rights, and empowerment, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI).

During the presentation, Sarah Jozelle Rojas and the ENFiD-Austria delegation shared their key takeaways, sparking an engaging discussion with the audience on the real-world impact of advocacy. They highlighted the importance of youth and diaspora voices in global peace and development efforts, drawing from their firsthand experience in New York.

The session ended with a moment of recognition: ENFiD-Austria received the Global Partner Award from the Global Women’s Peace Network, honoring its ongoing commitment to peacebuilding and community empowerment. Sarah Jozelle Rojas was also awarded the WFWP Global Woman Peace Ambassador Certificate, recognizing her leadership and advocacy for youth and women.

The event underscored the growing partnership between WFWP and ENFiD-Austria in empowering women globally and uplifting Filipino communities in the diaspora. ENFiD-Austria expressed heartfelt gratitude to WFWP for the opportunity to participate in such transformative and impactful dialogue.
